- Last Sunday, I stepped in dog poop first thing in the morning. In my bare feet. Apparently Rizzo thought that pooping on the welcome mat was appropriate, even though it's never been okay in her fourteen and a half years.
- Fastforward almost a week when it snows and me finding bright pink/ red urine stains in the snow from Rizzo. A costly vet appointment and some medication later, we are now in the wait and see period of a possible tumor in her bladder. Sheesh.
- Everyone in our house has been sick all week (minus myself- knock on wood). I am so, so, so tired of the coughing, snotty noses and whining... and that's just Bee. Kidding! But seriously, enough of the funk. And, would someone PLEASE get this house back on a normal sleep and nap schedule?!? It's mayhem over here.
- Because of the aforementioned lack of sleeping and napping, the house is a complete wreck and I can not get anything accomplished. I am getting further and further behind in my work and household chores.
- The snow continued to fall here today. Subsequently, I only worked a half a day all week. And, that would be great if... well, see above.
- I graded my first set of papers from my graduate students this week. Now, that was some fun. Is it wrong that I felt strangely powerful?
- And now I must attend to a crying, non-sleeping, coughing Bean.
- *Collective sigh*

Oh no! I pray that Rizzo only has a urinary tract infection as Maddie did last year, and not a tumor. :-(
I really hope the chicklets are all better soon!
I can imagine the grading papers, especially of older people, is very empowering!
I hope your Rizzo is okay. Perhaps she was just feeling left out with everyone else being sick?
I am glad you are not sick. But everyone else needs to get better so it stays that way!
The power of grading papers.. I can't wait for that :)
I hope the pup is okay :(
poor puppy!
Dog poop + bare feet + first thing in the morning = awesome!!! lol
Hope your family gets to feeling better soon!!! Poor kids and Bee! Keep us updated on Rizzo. Good thoughts are going your way for her. (gotta love our elderly JRTs!)
Try to have a great (or at least decent) weekend!
Poor puppy and poor feet!
I must say, way to go on keeping up the blog when you're so insanely busy!!
Hoping everything turns out fine with Rizzo.
Sending healthy vibes for the family! Hopefully everyone gets better soon, and you avoid the funk.
And good sleeping vibes too ;) Seems a lot of us could use those lately!
Power is awesome...enjoy it.
Sorry about the dog...that sucks.
Hope everyone gets better soon...I hate snot and think that little bodies produce waaayyyyy too much of it!
What a week! Hope everyone is doing better soon!
Hope everything is okay with your pooch. No fun.
Our girls have colds and the whining+snotty noses+waking in the night have left me exhausted!
Hope everyone is on the mends soon.
Someone needs a girls night out! Seriously, sorry the sleep is missing; I know how it can make everything seem worse. And poor Rizzo- praying for some good news for you.
I have stepped in poop with bare feet. It is NOT fun. Poor Rizzo.
You, my friend, need a nice night of sleep - how about earplugs and a locked door as soon as Bee is better. I think it is a fair trade off.
