Friday Night Leftovers (The Pandy Parties Too Much Edition)

Welcome back Friday!
  • Bee has been at his new job for two weeks now.  It's taking some adjusting for all of us.  Going from a four day work week to a five day week on totally different days is quite an adjustment.  We're all figuring it out and I know that with time, it will get easier.
  • I was asked to teach another class this summer at the university.  I am extremely excited.  My mid-semester evaluations and observation went swimmingly and I've been asked back.  I was even asked to teach two courses, but my schedule will not allow for that.
  • Twice a school year Tot gets to bring "Pandy" home for the weekend. Pandy is a stuffed Panda. After the weekend she has to draw a picture that goes into Pandy's book.  This is a very exciting time for Tot to have Pandy since Pandy will be accompanying us to her birthday party today.
  • The funny thing about Pandy's visit is that the last time Pandy came home with Tot we also went to a party.  It was a Christmas party at a friend's house.  So, both contributions from Tot will be about Pandy going to parties.  Rock on.
  • I hate April Fool's Day.  It's a mean holiday with a stupid tradition.  I'm all for practical jokes, but the problem is that every idiot thinks they're funny on April 1st.  Unfortunately, they're not funny, they're just an idiot doing something stupid. Call me a party pooper, but I'm not entertained by the nonsense.
  • Bean is attempting to add another ritual to her going to sleep routine.  Now on top of everything else she's asking for us to wash her binkies before sleeping.  She's lost her wanna-be princess, self-important mind.
  • I'm going to have sushi with girlfriends tomorrow.  I can't wait.
  • Oh, and yesterday started day one of the last round of clomid.  I will be accepting your baby dust via email, prayer, twitter, happy thoughts, snail mail, COD or sprinkled in a Diet Coke.

I've decided that I will be hitting anyone who tries to play an April Fools Joke on me this year. Join me.

I will keep my fingers all crossed for this cycle being THE cycle.

April Fools is for fools. I already had a lady tell me she was pregnant, and then say it was a April fools joke. Yeah, not laughing! Any true prankster can come up with better ideas year round. Amateurs!

Have fun with Pandy and the party. And a great time with the friends and yummy sushi!

Washing binkies? Where did she come up with that?

Funny, when we were laying in bed last night, Shawn and I talked about how we just don't "get" April Fools...what's the point?

Also, what's REALLY not funny is when I was doing my teaching practicum, a girl in my 6th grade class refused to take off her hood (against school policy to keep it up). I had to take her aside and she showed me why it was up. Apparently her DAD, as an April Fool's joke, had cut her hair with dull scissors while she slept. Her hair was destroyed. How awful, hey??

My daughter went through the washing of her nuk stage, thankfully it didn't last. Man was that a pain every night.
Baby dust coming your way.
And I am with you on April fool's day, I wish my son would get in line, he really wants to prank his dad tonight and wants my help, ugh.

Can you share a pic of Pandy at Tot's party this weekend?

That's awesome that you were asked to teach even more, maybe it will open the door for you to teach there permanently.

I also don't like April Fool's Day - we can be party poopers together.

I'm still chanting, praying, and crossing everything that this will work.

Fantastic news about the teaching! I taught last term when I was hugely pregnant and am on the fence about going back...but I kind of miss it! Good luck!

Sending lots of baby dust your way -- I rather unintentionally April fooled a bunch of people today -- although to be honest I think they (love you friends but sorry) are super gullible. The only person I expected to buy it was my mother in law and she totally deserves it. Promise!

This is my first visit to your page. I've been seeing left overs on other people's blog and was curious!

Your girls are so cute! My husband recently started a new job as well... it's always a bit bumpy when things first take off!

Lots of baby dust, in Diet Coke, for sure! And ugh, April Fools Day...boo. It just requires too much work to figure out if people are messing around or not all day...

Squish used to make us wash his pappis too. Usually it was warrented because they had fuzz from his army of stuffed animals on them :)
