Friday Night Leftovers (I Don't Feel Like It Edition)
- I don't feel like blogging today.
- I've been making an effort to try new recipes lately. Only about half have been met with success.
- Did you know that tomorrow is October?
- Did you also know the east coast has a pumpkin shortage because of all the rain we've had here?
- We already have four pumpkins though, two from the farmer's market and two from a neighbor's father's farm.
- I booked Bean's third birthday party today. We are having it at the same play gym where Tot had her third birthday. I love that we have such a history there.
- I love open window season.
- We have mosquitoes living inside our house and we cannot figure out where the hell they are coming from.
- For the record, I hate surprises. We've been invited to a couple surprise parties over the past year and I'd like to point out, I don't ever want a surprise party. I like predictability. I don't like the ambush. And that's what it feels like to mean, an ambush... even if everyone is well meaning.
- We had to get a new back door because our old exterior door was made of wood (which is beyond stupid) and the new door has those fancy blinds built into the glass. It rocks the house.
- I've been pretty productive lately, just not in any of the right areas.
- Despite all the name suggestions, Bee and I are no closer to figuring out a name for Blue.

Tomorrow is also my mom's birthday. I need to remember that. We all dislike that she has the 1st for a birthday because it gives you no warning.

I've basically not felt like blogging for about a month now. I'm not sure if I should just take a week off or what. It honestly feels like a job at this point.
Okay, October 1st means I become a hunting widow. Jade hunts until gun season starts. Boo. :(

I also love open window season. Any any place water could be sitting? Crawl space? That would explain the mosquitoes.

My parents' have the door blind, built-in thing. It's super neat hey!
Oh and I had a crazy thought, maybe, just maybe the mosquitoes are coming in through your open windows? LOL, jk. But it's probably the rain. They LOVE rain - bastards!!
On vacation in Maine and the mosquitos are still so bad I am being bitten though my clothes!
We have a pumpkin shortage?! Crap. I carved mine too early last year and ended up throwing it out and carving another, so I'm holding off on buying one for a couple of weeks. There had damn well better be a good one when I'm ready to buy! :)
I don't think I'd like a surprise party either. I've never had one, and I'd much rather know what I'm walking into.
I missed two days this week from blogging, just not enough time in the day.
I tried out the enchilada casserole from pinterest and I would alter it a tad.
Love that you go all out for their bday celebrations.
