Friday Night Leftovers (The Forgotten Title Edition)

  • Finally!  Life is resembling normal again.  Well, sort of.  A little.  Okay, maybe not, but it's better.
  • I am halfway through my last semester before I start dissertation.  It's very odd to know that registration starts next week and I have no class to register for.
  • Because I only work part time, I don't qualify for the full twelve weeks of leave under the Family Medical Leave Act at my oh-so-lovely place of employment.  I get eight weeks instead, even though I have more than enough sick leave to use.  Thankfully, at my request, my awesome doctor "advised" more time off so now I won't go back to work until April sometime.  Woooooo to the hoooooo.
  • It occurred to me today that we will have a first grader next year.  A kindergartner is one thing, but first grade is ridiculous.
  • Tot keeps asking me if I'll be a teacher again and teach at her school.  I have no idea where this is coming from.

Thank you, awesome doctor.

You should teach at her school...that'll teach her a lesson! Actually, she'd probably love it.

Yes, I can fully say that first grade is just plain ridiculous. ;)Fab news about the doc and no work until April (though classes seem like work to me!).

wsh my Dr. would say I should stop working early! I guess I can't complain since I do get 2 weeks off before AND 6 weeks from birthdate, plus vacation time.

Kindergarten, first grade, it all means the same thing....our babies keep growing :(

I'm glad to hear that things are starting to get a little more "normal" in your house.

Woo Hoo!!! on being almost ABD!!!
I felt the same way when I didn't have to register for classes anymore. But, I did have to register for a course called "dissertation" for three consecutive semesters. The college has to make its money I guess.

Lauren and Allison both ask me if I will come teach at their school. So maybe it's just normal for children who have parents in the field.

Double fist pump for an awesome doctor!!

You think first grade is bad. I'll have a 3rd grader. Wanna know what that means? It means were are 1/2 to middle school! YIKES!

First Grade has been the BEST for Puck. He has really come into his own this year:)

I'm so impressed by everything you manage to accomplish. Makes me feel lazy, LOL!

Hope you are making some "You" time along the way and some "You and Bee" time too!

I'm glad you get the extra time off!

I am still shocked (and a bit disgusted) at how little time Americans get with their babies. So unfair!!
