- All that talk about babywrapping last week (or the week before) made me want an Ergo. For a third, and last child, this is an expensive splurge. I'll be scouring Craigslist and consignment sales.
- Two days this week all three kids were in bed by 8:30. I couldn't decide if I wanted to clean the house, sit and stare into space or just go to bed. I elected to blog and then go to bed both nights.
- Don't think I got any sleep though. Why won't my children sleep? WHY?!?!
- This week Tot learned a sad lesson about what happens when you play on the swing with a stick in hand. Her face was the unfortunate recipient of the end of the stick. Then she had class pictures three days later. We talked about what would happen if she lost an eyeball, but that lesson only resulted in her thinking that not having an eyeball was incredibly funny.
- This week I officially went from doctoral student to doctoral candidate. I defended my last portfolio and will head into dissertation in just a month. Dissertation, here I come!
- I am now accepting advice on going to Disney. We are thinking about November as our target date
- I think Blue is so cute that I want to eat him. I just want to bottle up that smell while I'm at it.
- Somehow I may have gotten myself nominated for both the secretary AND historian of the school PTO. This doesn't mean it's a done deal, but it's on the table. Yikes. Good thing I don't have anything else to do.

Please. Like you need any Disney advice other than me.
I just got myself the Administrative Vice President job for the moms club. This is after I said that there was NO WAY I had enough time to be president.
First and formost, congratulations!! You've worked so hard the last 2 plus years.
Secondly, I thought Tot's school didn't have a PTO? What took you so long to get one going?
P.S. I also want an Ergo. Please find me one too, while you scour.
It looks to me like you have a pretty small frame...for this reason, I was told to get a Beco instead of an Ergo as it would be more comfortable. I don't know if that's true or not but I've loved my Beco for both girls. (and it comes in beautiful fabrics) Anyway, something else to keep an eye for when you're looking secondhand.
Evidently, I need to Google what an Ergo is. Also found out I was nominated for PTA Treasurer. Tot and Fudge would be fast friends. Tons of Disney advice here...shall I send you my spreadsheet? You think I jest, but sadly, that statement is true. We go every year and plan like a crazy Mama.
At the age of 35 (and T at 41) we have never been to Disney. K really isn't into Disney either. So I would be a FAIL in that department.
I just bought a second hand Moby, used a handful of times, for $20. Looking forward to using it.
Congrats on your dissertation. Such an AWESOME accomplishment.
Even full price ergo is way, way worth it!!! Good luck!!!
I have NO IDEA how you accomplish all that's on your plate. It astounds me. GL on the dissertation!! If I move to Richmond, can we be friends? ;)
And I think I can compete with Jen for the Disney advice. Email me. We'll talk. Seriously. You don't want to miss out.
Wait, more than just Blue is up and awake at night??? Stop dashing my hopes for future sleep!
I haven't been to Disney since I was 11...but one of these days we'll get there I hope!
SO AWESOME that you are al.most done - so freaking awesome. eek!
i have tons of Disney advice - we are going again in August - what do you need/want to know?!
