Friday Night Leftovers: I Hate To Shower Edition

  • Am I the only one who hates to shower?  Don't get me wrong, I like to be clean, but I hate the process.  Mostly it's the hair washing and drying part.  Maybe it's the fact that I always feel rushed because of the kids?  Maybe I'm just flat out lazy.
  • I loved having the girls at camp during the day (or partial day) this week.  I do love them and their company, but we all need a little break from one another now and then.  And again.
  • Although we have made some progress with Blue's sleeping this week, I am utterly exhausted.  No matter how much I sleep, I still can't catch up.  My body is perpetually overtired.  I need a week of twelve hour nighttime sleeps.  Ha!
  • I can't believe the 4th of July is next week.  We bought fireworks and sparklers last night so the girls can enjoy a little action here at home.
  • Our local school division is proposing a two week earlier start time to the school year.  They already start two weeks ahead of all other counties and now they want to start in early August and end at the end of May.  Because camps and the rest of the surrounding area is NOT on this schedule, I foresee a scheduling nightmare ahead of us if this passes.
  • Bee and I have managed to get all three kids to the pool a couple of times this summer.  Thankfully Blue is a water baby and Bean has shed some of her water fears.  Sadly, Blue can't go on the days when the heat index is over a hundred (like today).  He and I usually sit those trips out.

I absolutely love to shower. I could stay in there for hours! I'm with you on the hair drying part though!

I cannot STAND to shower either. It's so so so annoying! Such a time suck.

I absolutely dread how much time it takes me to get ready in the morning. I find if I don't do it the second I get up, I get discouraged and it is so hard to make myself!

I like being in the shower, but not the whole process. It takes so much time and energy.

Our schools here are on that schedule. I think August 3rd or something is the first day of school here.

I totally get the overtired. It takes a long time to catch up.

I've never given much thought to the showering, hair washing and drying. Now that I have I don't mind it! I HAVE to shower and dry and straighten my hair everyday. If I don't I'll go nuts. It's like my morning coffee, so to speak.

Sorry no left overs for me this week. But I would like to say that I LOVE to shower! Ah the feeling ofthe hot water pouring over my head and down my body....except nowadays I have a small companion with me. Since being home on maternity leave K will barge in on my only alone time and strip down and jump in the shower before I have the chance to tell her NO! S while I love showers....I hate them at the same time.

Nope - I hate the process. It just takes too damn. Hubby is lucky he is bald.

This crazy heat is insane. We haven't even been outside all week because it's 100+ without even the index.

Our schools won't start till September and I'm excited as it feels like we can really enjoy summer.
