- Oh, the hot! Triple digits are not fun for anyone, especially a little wee one. Blue is no fan of the swelter.
- Last Friday night a CRAZY storm (derecho) came flying through (literally) with eighty mile per hour winds. We came out unscathed, but so many friends and family lost power (for up to a week) or had damage to their homes or lost trees. Super crazy time.
- Our 4th was quiet. A little pool time, a little cook out, a little firework action.
- I've noticed lately that when the girls aren't around, Blue is particularly crabby. I think I underestimate how much they keep him entertained.
- Bean has had nosebleed after nosebleed lately. It's been going on for weeks. Finally, we took her in to the doctor yesterday to make sure all was well. All is well. We just need to ride it out.
- I've been able to read two pleasure books this summer. This is the first time in forever that I've been able to do this. It's fabulous. I was hoping that seeing me read more books (rather than research articles) would encourage Tot to read. No such luck.
- I miss cheese.

What did you read? Worth recommending?
It is really hot here in MICH too!
Especially when you visit family with no a/c that refuse to open windows (keeps the house cooler) or run fans (too much electricity).
I feel for you on the dairy thing. I cannot fathom how difficult it would be for me to cut out all dairy from my life. You are an amazing mother!
The heat needs to let up -- it's making everything I do miserable. I can't get anything done between 9 am and 9pm because its to darn hot and at night I am to tired from sweating in the darn heat all day~!
I'm a summer lover, you know this, and I'm sick of these temps! I'm ALMOST ready to fast foward to September!
I also want to know what book you read!!
I had cheese in my mouth when I read that line. And I feel guilty. I shall eat all your cheese for you until you are able to resume dairy.
What books did you read? I just finished the 2nd Fifty Shades book...
I'm glad it's not that hot here! Heat + pregnancy = swollen feet and ankles for me :P
I feel your pain with the heat and storms! We lost power the other night for ten hours. I'm thankful that it was not longer! I have a hard time getting my two to read as well.
