Friday Night Leftovers: The Fabric Softener Edition

Happy Friday!

  • Tot returns to school in a short ten-ish days.  I'm not sure if I'm more upset that this means I also go back to work, the summer is over or that we have a first grader.
  • Bean returns to school in about three more weeks.
  • Both girls are excited to return to school.  Very excited.  This makes me happy.  I want them to love school.
  • As a family, we have almost completely gone green with our water bottles.  I've stopped buying plastic bottles for car rides and trips.  Each of us has our very own green bottle now, even though we each have a preference on style and size.
  • I went out to dinner with a bunch of girlfriends last weekend and we spent twenty minutes talking about fabric softeners (or lack thereof).  Who are we?
  • With the amount of stuff that needs to get done on a daily basis, I'm thinking that three hours of sleep should be the only requirement to function properly.  I need AT LEAST twenty-one hours in a day to get anything accomplished.  *Cue personal assistant request*  It's a shame that the reality is that I could get eight hours a night and it still wouldn't be enough.
  • As a family, we've really enjoyed the Olympics.  I must admit that I'm pretty over-saturated though.  It's a shame we couldn't spread it out over the entire summer instead of cramming it into two weeks.
  • The girls favorite Olympic sports were swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and gymnastics.

It's funny because on Sammy's birth club, lack of fabric softener and fresh smelling laundry has been a topic recently too!

That's awesome that the girls are excited to go back to school. I hope Grace loves it when the time comes!

Are you all ready for the start of school? We don't start here until after Labor Day now.

So where do you fall on the fabric softener continuum?

School started here this Monday. It's crazytown.

We've watched barely any Olympics at all because Matt is so annoyed at the delays and the editing. Elizabeth saw about ten seconds of beach volleyball though and exclaimed "A GIRL GAME!"

We PVR'd some of the Olympics but missed it big time because of the stupid basement renos (which, for the record, I hate). And yeah, I've had long conversations about cleaning too; it's pretty lame of me to admit but thankfully I'm not the only one!

Love the new header!

Right before I had Aubrey one of my friends who already had two told me the only way she did it was that she just sleeps 4 hours a night. I started panicking, because WHAT THE HECK. I mean, I probably don't get much more than that with kids waking up, but on purpose? I told myself if it takes that, then something just has to give.

That's awesome about your water bottles! We try and do that- but I am constantly losing them! Any tips on keeping track of them?

It's awesome that the girls are so excited to go back to school! (I am not, however. lol)

Fabric softners...there is really that much to say? Am I missing something? Maybe you should do a replay of the conversation so I can make sure I am up to speed on the topic. ;)

I agree the Olympics are so fun to watch, but by the end we are over it and ready for our regular shows to start back up again.
